  • Experimental design and coordination of DNA sequencing activities
  • Set up Material Transfer Agreements (MTA’s) and manage sample cohorts
  • Perform bioinformatics and statistical analysis of sequencing data
  • Integrate biological information to improve the predictive power
  • Integrate genetic biomarkers in clinical prediction models
  • Develop novel deep learning-based approaches to automate many aspects of precision medicine, with emphasis in oncology.
  • Write grants and initiate new research projects
  • Prototype novel algorithms, translate them into production-level code, and integrating them into our state-of-the-art cloud-based software.
  • Design and set up of protocols for quantitative precision medicine.

The essential skills:

  • A completed PhD in bioinformatics or biostatistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, physics, computer science or equivalent technical training;
  • Experience with machine learning techniques, including deep learning;
  • Preferably experience with Jupyter notebooks and TensorFlow;
  • Preferably experience with (pre)clinical imaging;
  • Experience with clinical data;
  • Programming experience (Matlab, Python, R or equivalent);
  • Fluency in English, both in writing and speaking;
  • Readiness to travel when required (Europe/US/Asia);
  • An independent and practical personality and the ability to take initiative.
  • An entrepreneur potentially with experience of startup companies
  • Experience with processing and analyzing biomolecular data (i.e. NGS data)
